Simpson drops 8-6 decision to Coe in A-R-C opener
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Despite several rallies, the Simpson College baseball team fell just short in an 8-6 loss to Coe to open American Rivers Conference play.

After the Kohawks pushed the lead back to four in the bottom of the inning, the Storm responded again with two runs in the sixth on RBI singles from Sam Campin and Kasey Carter.
Bryson Gibson delivered RBI singles in both the seventh and ninth innings, but Coe had an answer each time Simpson closed the gap.
Easton Dunwoody took the loss on the mound, striking out seven over 7.1 innings of work.
