Hoffa, Street garner all-region accolades

INDIANOLA, Iowa – Two members of the Simpson College women's soccer team earned United Soccer Coaches All-Region recognition, as senior defender Elle Street was named to the Region IX Third Team and junior forward Ally Hoffa received Region IX Fourth Team honors.

The award marks the second straight all-region selection for Street, who was honored last season on the second team. Hoffa earns her first career all-region nod following a breakout year in the Storm attack.

The pair helped lead Simpson to an 11-6-2 record, the program's fifth straight season with double-digit victories, and a fifth consecutive trip to the A-R-C Tournament semifinals.

Street anchored a Simpson backline that delivered seven shutouts, including three in conference play, while starting all 19 matches and logging a team-high 1,580 minutes. She added a career-best offensive season with two goals and two assists, and collected First Team All-A-R-C honors last month.

Hoffa turned in one of the top scoring seasons in the American Rivers Conference, finishing tied for second in the league with 13 goals and 31 points. She led the A-R-C with six game-winning goals, added five assists, and produced three multi-goal outings, including two goals in Simpson's A-R-C quarterfinal win over Luther. Hoffa was also named First Team All-A-R-C for the first time in her career.
