Jansen fuels Storm past Central with four-point performance

INDIANOLA, Iowa – Senior Mya Jansen had a hand in all three goals as the Simpson women's soccer team earned a 3-1 win over Central in American Rivers Conference action Wednesday evening.

Jansen assisted on both first-half goals before adding one of her own early in the second. She set up Ally Hoffa for the opener just 87 seconds into the match, then delivered another assist alongside Hoffa less than seven minutes later as Abby Bell doubled the Storm's lead.

Central (6-3-1, 1-2-0 A-R-C) pulled one back in the 50th minute when Olivia DeVos finished a pass from Bailey Huizenga, but the Storm (7-3-2, 3-0-0 A-R-C) responded immediately. Jansen connected on a double assist from Pepper Earle and Brissa Valadez just a minute later to restore the two-goal cushion.

Meredith Downs recorded six saves as Simpson secured its seventh straight win in the series.
