Simpson weathers the elements, defeats Buena Vista 3-1

STORM LAKE, Iowa – Pepper Earle and Abby Bell found the net in the first half, Ally Hoffa added one more after the break, and the Simpson College women's soccer team extended its unbeaten streak against Buena Vista to 13 straight with a 3-1 road win on a cold, rainy Saturday evening.

Earle opened the scoring in the 30th minute off a setup from Hoffa, and Bell doubled the Storm's lead just before halftime with an assist from Georgia Paulson.

The Beavers (4-9-2, 1-4-0 A-R-C) cut the deficit to 2-1 in the 59th minute after an own goal, but Hoffa sealed the win with her team-leading eighth goal of the season to secure Simpson's (8-5-2, 4-2-0 A-R-C) fourth conference victory.
