Street’s five-point week nets A-R-C defensive honor

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Senior Elle Street has been named the American Rivers Conference Defensive Player of the Week after tallying five points across two wins for the Storm last week.

Against Monmouth on Wednesday, Street scored the game-tying goal and assisted the gamewinner, helping Simpson rally to a 5-1 victory. She carried her momentum into the matchup against Coe, opening the scoring with her third career goal just four minutes into the game before transitioning back to her defensive role to help the Storm secure a 3-1 win.

Simpson is currently 5-3-2 (1-0 A-R-C) and will face Neb. Wesleyan on Saturday afternoon at 3:30 p.m.
