Storm cap Homecoming Saturday with 2-0 Senior Day win

INDIANOLA, Iowa – A pair of second-half goals from Mya Jansen and Ally Hoffa helped the Simpson College women's soccer team cap off Homecoming Saturday with a 2-0 Senior Day victory over Wartburg at Buxton Stadium.

The Storm (10-5-2, 6-2-0 A-R-C) outshot the Knights (7-9-1, 3-3-1 A-R-C) 27-14 and clinched the No. 3 seed in the upcoming American Rivers Conference Tournament with the victory.

After a scoreless opening 45 minutes, Jansen broke through in the 60th minute by lofting a corner kick taken by Abby Bell over the goalkeeper's head and into the back of the net. Hoffa added insurance in the 78th minute, scoring a wide open goal after Pepper Earle's initial shot deflected off the keeper's hands.
