Zimmerman goes undefeated over winter break, earns A-R-C honor

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Sarah Zimmerman has been named the American Rivers Conference Women's Wrestler of the Week for the period of Dec. 15 through Jan. 4 after going undefeated over winter break.

Zimmerman finished the stretch 5-0, helping lead the Storm to a 4-1 dual record during that span. She posted four technical fall victories at the Gator Boot Duals and earned a forfeit in Simpson's 47-0 victory over Cornell on Jan. 3.

At the Gator Boot Duals on Dec. 19, Zimmerman earned a 10-0 technical fall over Haley Zinninger of Emmanuel (Ga.), followed by an 11-0 technical fall against Alanna Jenning of Randolph and a 10-0 technical fall over Anna Lackey of Lock Haven. She capped the event with a 16-6 technical fall against Shelby Fugate of Huntingdon.

The Storm are set to compete in the NWCA DIII National Dual Tournament this weekend in Cedar Falls.
