Women’s wrestling announces talented 2025 recruiting class
INDIANOLA, Iowa - Simpson College head women's wrestling coach Jeff McGinness has announced the addition of 10 newcomers to the Storm roster for the 2025-26 season.
The incoming class adds elite talent and depth to a program that has quickly become a strong presence on the national stage. Simpson returns 11 national qualifiers, 10 NCAA Women's Scholar All-Americans, three World Team Trials All-Americans, one World Team member, and a Pan-American Championship gold medalist.
"Our returners set the bar extremely high last season, and this class is going to push that standard even further," said McGinness. "We are building something special here at Simpson, a program where women can pursue national titles, world medals, and an outstanding academic experience."
The 2025 class includes four athletes ranked nationally by USA Wrestling in the past year, eight USA Wrestling All-Americans, and more than 40 state placewinners, including 10 state champions.
"This is one of the most talented and balanced recruiting classes in the country," said McGinness. "We have athletes who have proven themselves on the national and international stage, and we also have women who will develop into future leaders for our program. What excites me the most is the combination of high-level wrestling ability with strong academics and character. These young women are the perfect fit for Simpson College."
The Storm open the 2025-26 campaign in November and will once again face a competitive national schedule in preparation for the NCAA postseason.
