Hicks recognized as A-R-C Wrestler of the Week

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – After jumpstarting Simpson's dual victory at Augustana with a first-period pin, junior Emaline Hicks has been named the American Rivers Conference Women's Wrestler of the Week.

Ranked No. 4 nationally at 103 pounds, Hicks opened the dual with a statement, pinning Mia Vazquez in 2:35 to help Simpson build early momentum. The win fueled a 35-13 victory over the Vikings and improved Hicks' season record to 5-1.

Simpson returns to action this Friday at the Gator Boot Duals in Tennessee.
