Obermark named A-R-C Wrestler of the Week

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Sophomore Annelise Obermark has been named the American Rivers Conference Women's Wrestler of the Week after winning the 145-pound bracket at the Luther Hill Invitational on Saturday.

Ranked No. 9 nationally, Obermark posted a perfect 4-0 record on the day to secure her first tournament title of the season. She opened with back-to-back bonus-point victories, pinning Haidyn Snyder (Grand View) in 2:12 and earning a 14-3 technical fall over Siobhan Rogers (Quincy). Obermark followed with an 8-1 decision against Emma Stice (Hastings) before defeating Cadence Diduch (Iowa), 8-6, in the championship match.

The honor marks the second A-R-C Wrestler of the Week award of Obermark's career, with her first coming on Jan. 6, 2025.

No. 18 Simpson dives into A-R-C dual action on Wednesday against No. 10 Wartburg. Start time is set for 6 p.m. at the Luther Hill Wrestling Center inside Hopper Gymnasuim.
