CLERMONT, Fla. - After dropping in the opening game of a tripleheader, 12th-ranked Simpson bounced back with wins over Chicago and Springfield to improve to 11-1 on the year.
GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS
- After a lead-off third inning single from Alexis Voss, a steal and bunt later put Voss on third for Steen. Steen drove in the first run of the game with a single through the left side.
- Steen proceeded to use her speed on the basepaths to steal second, advance to third on a groundout, and score on a wild pitch to put the Storm up 2-0 in the third.
- Geneseo answered back in the bottom half of the frame, scoring three on a bases-loaded double followed by another RBI double as Geneseo took a 4-2 lead.
- Mackenzie James kickstarted the rally in the sixth with a lead-off double, and scored on Katie Shaner's RBI single to center to cut the lead in half.
- With two outs in the sixth, Shaner stole third and an errant throw allowed her to come home as the tying run.
- In the seventh, Voss and Steen reached scoring position for Heidelbauer who brought both home on a fielder's choice as Simpson jumped back out in front 6-4.
- However, a two RBI double, followed by a bases-loaded one out sac fly lifted Geneseo past Simpson 7-6 for the Storm's first loss of the season.

GAME TWO HIGHLIGHTS
- Cheyenne Jones started the scoring for Simpson with an RBI single in the second, allowing Voss to score.
- Chicago tacked on four runs in the third to open up a 4-1 lead on three RBI singles and a sac fly.
- James chipped into the lead in the third with a solo shot to left, cutting Chicago's lead to 4-2.
- In the fourth, Caelynn Obleton got the rally going with an RBI double down the left field line, scoring one. Megan Heidelbauer drove in two with a bases-loaded double to right center, scoring Jones, and Obleton as Simpson jumped back on top 5-4.
- With two outs in the fifth, a weather storm delayed the game for a couple days and was resumed on Wednesday.
- Despite the long delay, the Storm and Marina Cronin came out firing, easily securing the final seven outs of the game to secure the tenth win of the season.

GAME THREE HIGHLIGHTS
- Simpson wasted no time getting on the board against Springfield with a two RBI double from Shaner down the left field line.
- The Storm put the game out of reach with an eight-run second inning fueled by eight hits, including four extra base hits to open up a double-digit lead.
- Later in the third, a bases-loaded wild pitch and a Grace Bruening RBI single plated the final two runs as Simpson coasted to the 13-0 win.
- Marina Cronin picked up her fifth win of the season after going three innings to start, allowing zero hits, no walks, and two strikeouts.
- Sierra Franklin and Taryn Fredrickson each tossed one shutout inning to close out the game.

Simpson resumes its matchup against Keene State tomorrow, March 19 where the score is currently tied 1-1 in the bottom of the second after it was delayed due to weather.
