Simpson lands five on CSC Academic All-District Team
INDIANOLA, Iowa - Five student-athletes of the Simpson softball team were recognized for their accomplishments in the classroom by being named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team on Tuesday.
Megan Heidelbauer, Katie Shaner, Addison Gookin, Ashlyn Steen, and Brielyn Ginnaty were selected as Simpson's representatives on the CSC Academic All-District team. The award marks the third selection for Heidelbauer and Steen, second for Shaner, and first for Gookin and Ginnaty.
Heidelbauer and Steen will move on in the voting for the CSC Academic All-American with the award winners set to be announced on June 16, 2026.
