Storm Softball moves up one spot to No. 12 in NFCA rankings
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Following a doubleheader sweep of Cornell, the Simpson softball team moved up one spot to 12th in the latest NFCA/GoRout Top 25 Coaches Poll on Tuesday.
Now sitting 17-2 on the season, the Storm were one of two A-R-C teams in the rankings, with Central sliding one spot to 21st. Fresh off wins over Cornell, 13-5 and 10-5, the Storm begin A-R-C action tomorrow, Wednesday, April 1 with a doubleheader against Wartburg then Coe on Saturday. As a team, Simpson leads the conference in runs per game (7.63), batting average (.349), and second in home runs (10), shutouts (4), and third in ERA (2.34).
