STORM LAKE, Iowa – The Simpson College women's basketball team fell 73-57 at Buena Vista on Saturday after the Beavers pulled away with a decisive third-quarter run.
Simpson (11-10, 7-5 A-R-C) was efficient early, shooting 53.8 percent in the opening quarter, and trailed by just nine at halftime, 38-29. Coming out of the break, however, Buena Vista (13-8, 7-5 A-R-C) quickly created separation, opening the third quarter on a 16-3 run to put the game out of reach.
