Simpson posts largest win of season on home floor

INDIANOLA, Iowa – The Simpson College women's basketball team celebrated National Girls and Women in Sports Day with its largest win of the season, defeating Nebraska Wesleyan 87-51 on Wednesday night.

The Storm (11-9, 7-4 A-R-C) set the tone from the opening tip, leading 15-9 after one quarter before stretching the margin to 41-20 by halftime. Simpson continued to pour it on after the break, outscoring the Prairie Wolves (4-17, 1-11 A-R-C) by 19 in the third quarter and building a lead as large as 42 points.

Simpson's depth was on full display in the win, as all 18 available players saw action and the Storm matched a season high with 87 points. The 36-point margin marked Simpson's largest victory of the season and extended the Storm's winning streak over Nebraska Wesleyan to 14 straight.
