Storm roll to second straight A-R-C win
INDIANOLA, Iowa – The Simpson College women's basketball team stayed perfect in American Rivers Conference play with a 75-66 victory over Buena Vista inside Cowles Fieldhouse.
After a back-and-forth opening quarter, the Storm (4-3, 2-0 ARC) seized control late in the first half, closing the final 2:32 on a 12-0 run to take a 41-28 lead into halftime. Simpson carried that momentum into the third quarter, stretching the advantage to as many as 24 behind a combined 10 points from Maddax DeVault and Doryn Paup.
Buena Vista (4-6, 0-3 A-R-C) trimmed the deficit to seven with an 18-7 run to open the fourth, but the Storm responded with timely stops and scores to put the game away and secure their second straight conference win.
Ella Anderson recorded her second consecutive double-double, while Paup finished just two points shy of her own. DeVault contributed 19 points, her fifth game of the season with 15+ points.

NOTES
- The Storm record their 14th consecutive win over the Beavers and improve to 64-32 in the all-time series. Simpson has won 16 straight against the Beavers inside Cowles Fieldhouse, dating back to Feb. 10, 2010.
- Head coach Brian Niemuth is now two wins away from becoming the 12th Division III women's basketball coach to reach 700 career victories.
- Ella Anderson set career highs in both points (22) and rebounds (13), while Paup set new personal bests in rebounds (10) and assists (5).
