Five earn CSC Academic All-District honors for Simpson basketball
INDIANOLA, Iowa – The Simpson College men's and women's basketball teams combined to place five student-athletes on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team announced Tuesday.
The Storm women accounted for four of the honors, with Ella Anderson, Maddax DeVault, Taylor Hansen and Elle Street all receiving the distinction. Jachin Mertes was honored on the men's side.
DeVault and Street each collected their second career Academic All-District accolade, while Anderson, Hansen and Mertes secured the first of their collegiate careers.
To qualify, all nominees must be at least a sophomore in academic standing, have played in 90 percent of the team's games or started at least 66 percent, and have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher. The full team can be viewed by clicking here.
The 2025-26 CSC Academic All-America team will be announced on April 14 (men) and April 15 (women).
