DUBUQUE, Iowa - Two early goals for Loras pushed the Storm into a rough position as Simpson was unable to recover, falling in the opening round of the A-R-C Tournament on Saturday night.
Loras quickly put the pressure on the Storm, scoring just five minutes into the match. Nine minutes later, Loras once again struck for a goal to extend its lead and put the Storm in an uphill battle for the final 75 minutes of the match. Zach Kline and Mitchell Dickson led the offensive push in the first half, with the two combining for three shots and one on target.
Loras continued to add to its lead, scoring five times in the second half. Simpson found no answer to stop the Duhawks' attack, ultimately closing out the season in the opening round of the A-R-C Tournament.
