Storm control all facets of the match; roll past North Central 2-0

INDIANOLA, Iowa - Simpson secured its second win of the season behind an all-around dominant team effort over North Central inside Buxton Stadium on Monday night.

Simpson (2-2-2) quickly established the tone of the match, getting on the scoreboard in the 18th minute on a goal from Iain Macrae with assists from Tim Sedlock and Jack Hoopes. The Storm peppered the backline of North Central (0-3-0) with 12 shots in the opening half while only giving the Rams only one look at net that was saved by Nate Hersom in goal.

The pressure did not stop in the second half from Simpson, as the Storm continued to look for their second goal. The moment came in the 76th minute as Mitchell Dickson connected on his first goal of the year to ice the 2-0 result over North Central.

Overall as a team, Simpson outshot North Central 21 to 3, and attempted eight corner kicks to the Rams' one. Hersom recorded his second clean sheet of the season while making the lone save in the first half.
