Storm repeat as NWCA Scholar All-America Top-10 Team
MANHEIM, Pa. – For the second year in a row, the Simpson College women's wrestling program landed in the top 10 on the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Scholar All-America list.
The Storm achieved a grade point average of 3.771 to rank seventh out of collegiate wrestling programs nationwide. Simpson had the fourth-highest GPA among Division III schools.
Kendra Bliss, Lainie Burkhart, Ashley Cannon, Dionni Garcia-Vasquez, Paige Gershmel, Keeley Kehrli, Lily McMahon, Ella McNamee, Savannah Sistad, and Breanna Wier all earned the Association's Scholar All-America award as individuals.
On the mat, Simpson finished the year with an 8-3 dual record and over 450 individual victories. The Storm capped off a strong campaign by sending nine wrestlers to the NCWWC National Championships.
