Quartet of wrestlers crowned champions at Luther Open
DECORAH, Iowa – Four members of the Simpson College women's wrestling team were crowned champions at the Luther Open on Saturday.
Emaline Hicks (103), Ashley Cannon (124), Kendra Bliss (131) and Annelise Obermark (145) all claimed first place with a combined 16-0 record. Cannon tallies her second consecutive title, while the others earn their first of the year.
The Storm also had 11 other wrestlers place in their brackets, including Paige Gershmel who took second and Kelley Kehrli who finished third.
As a team, Simpson led the meet with 33 pins and went 58-30.
UP NEXT
The Storm will get their first taste of dual action when they travel to St. Charles, Mo. for the Lindenwood Duals on Nov. 17.
