Freshman heavyweight lands on NWCA Scholar All-America Team

MANHEIM, Pa. – Freshman Carson Slorah earned a spot on the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Scholar All-America Team.

A business major from Indianola, Slorah led the Storm with 26 wins this season. He claimed 19 bonus-point victories, including 15 pins, both team bests. He closed out the season winning 13 of his final 17 matches and placed fifth at regionals.

This distinguished award celebrates student-athletes who exemplify excellence both on the mat and in the classroom. To qualify individually, a wrestler must have placed in the top eight at nationals while maintaining at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA, competed in a minimum of 10 matches with at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA, or qualified for nationals with a minimum 3.25 cumulative GPA.
