Simpson defeats Nebraska Wesleyan, faces ranked competition
LINCOLN, Neb. – The Simpson College men's wrestling team earned a 31-20 win over Nebraska Wesleyan at the American Rivers Conference dual pod hosted by the Prairie Wolves.
After the Prairie Wolves claimed the first three matches of the dual, Simpson (4-6) took control and won six of the final seven. Easton Biladeau swung the momentum with a fall at 149 pounds, and Noel Torres followed with a 7-1 victory. Trey Kellow, Troy Galloway and Carson Slorah all tallied pins, while Mazin Arafa contributed a 17-3 major decision.
Simpson opened the day against No. 7 Coe, with Arafa earning a 7-6 decision at 174 for the Storm's lone win in the dual. The Storm later faced No. 5 Loras and No. 12 Luther, picking up falls from Biladeau against Loras and Slorah against Luther.
