Simpson dominates Buena Vista in conference dual
INDIANOLA, Iowa – The Simpson College men's wrestling team earned a 41-8 American Rivers Conference victory over Buena Vista on Friday night, powered by bonus-point victories from Nicholas Silva, Trey Kellow, Troy Galloway, and Carson Slorah.
The Storm (6-6, 2-5 A-R-C) opened the dual with forfeits at 125 and 141, with Silva providing the early spark in between by pinning Jaxon Cozad just 1:19 into the match at 133. Simpson continued to add separation through the middle of the lineup as Torres earned a 10-3 decision at 157 and Kellow followed with a first-period fall at 165.
In the upper weights, Mazin Arafa controlled his bout for a 9-3 decision at 174 before Galloway delivered a fall at 197. Slorah closed the night with an 18-3 technical fall at heavyweight.
