Kellow continues strong start with third place medal at BVU
STORM LAKE, Iowa – Continuing his strong start to the season, Trey Kellow delivered another standout performance to lead the Simpson College men's wrestling team with a third place finish at the Buena Vista Open.
Kellow (165) opened with back-to-back decisions, knocking off Southwestern Michigan's Dayveon Rupert (4-1) and Iowa Central's Devin Perez (5-3). After a setback to Iowa State's Manny Rojas, he bounced back in dominant fashion, pinning Iowa Central's Jacob Marshall in under a minute to secure third. Kellow now sits at 11-6 overall on the year.
Carson Slorah (197) and Easton Biladeau (149) each earned three victories as well. Biladeau posted a pin and two decisions, while Slorah earned a 7-5 decision and a fall on his way to a sixth place finish.
Brody Hufford (125) and Troy Galloway (197) placed eighth in their brackets.
