Roe earns medalist honors, Storm take team title

INDIANOLA, Iowa - Kristen Roe and Kaylin Long finished atop the leaderboard to lead Simpson in defending its home course at the Storm Spring Classic on Wednesday.

Roe earned medalist honors playing to seven-over par 78, highlighted by three birdies on the front nine at four, seven, and nine. Long followed closely behind at 80, placing second overall in the field, playing even par on the front nine with a birdie on five.

Ella Heyer (88) and Joann Martin (89) combined for 12 holes of par golf while Addison Brink (93) closed out the scorecard for the Storm.

As a team, Simpson outpaced Buena Vista by five strokes to win the tournament at 335, with Waldorf rounding out the leaderboard at 398.
