Long and Brink's stellar play leads to Storm title at BVU Fall Invite

STORM LAKE, Iowa - Stellar play from Kaylin Long and Addison Brink fueled the Storm to a team victory at the BVU Fall Invite on Sunday.

Long and Brink played identical all weekend long, matching each other in score and tied for third overall in the field. The two combined for three birdies, all coming in the second round, while shooting team-best 81 in the opening round.

Tessa Rounds and Joann Martin provided key performances as the team's three and four with Rounds posting a top-ten score and Martin finishing in 14th. Laura Klaessy rounded out the scorecard for the Storm in 31st.

As a team, Simpson managed to hold off Buena Vista down the stretch, claiming the title by two strokes. The Storm earned their win on par-3's and par-5's, leading the field in both scoring averages. Simpson's five birdies was third best and its 68 pars were second best in the field.
