Storm place third behind pair of top-10 finishes from Roe, Long

OSKALOOSA, Iowa - Kristen Roe and Kaylin Long turned in top-10 finishes as Simpson took to the links at the WP Spring Statesmen Shootout on Wednesday.

Kristen Roe led the way for the Storm with an 83, earning a fourth-place finish to pace Simpson's lineup. Kaylin Long followed with an 87 to place eighth, giving the Storm a pair of top-10 finishers on the day.

Joann Martin carded an 89 to finish 13th, while Addison Brink came in just behind in 14th with a 90. Anna Curley rounded out the scoring for Simpson, shooting a 97 to place 24th.

As a team, Simpson's balanced effort kept them firmly in the mix, finishing just eight strokes behind second-place Upper Iowa and five shots clear of Des Moines CC.
