Women fall in triangular

INDIANOLA, Iowa – The Simpson women's tennis team couldn't get things going Saturday as it fell to Luther and Augustana (Ill.) at the Buxton Memorial Tennis Courts.

Simpson (3-10, 3-5 IIAC) fell to Iowa Conference-foe Luther, 9-0 in the first match of the triangular, dropping another 9-0 decision in the afternoon match with Augustana.

Lindsay Nash gave Simpson its best opportunity for points on the day in No. 5 singles against Augustana, forcing a third set against Brittany Reece with a 6-2 win after dropping the first set, 6-1. Reece pulled out the rubber-match, however, 10-1.

The Storm returns to play Monday when it hosts Upper Iowa in a non-conference dual at the Buxton Memorial Tennis Courts. The match is set to start at 3:30 p.m.
