Women's tennis drops matches to William Jewell and Wartburg

INDIANOLA, Iowa – Tiffany Bost (Fr., Spokane, Wash.) and Allison Anderson (So., Eldridge, Iowa) picked up Simpson's only two wins in singles play on Saturday at the weekend triangular against William Jewel and Wartburg.

Bost defeated William Jewel opponent Tanya Ratana in No. 2 singles after Ratana retired the match. Simpson lost to the Cardinals 8-1 in non-conference play.

Pulling out the win against Wartburg, Anderson beat Lindsay Greiner in No. 4 singles, 7-6, 7-6. Anderson leads the Storm in singles play with a 4-3 overall record.

Wartburg defeated the Storm 8-1 in the conference match. The Storm (2-7), are ranked sixth in conference play at 2-4.

Traveling to Lamoni on Wednesday, Simpson faces Graceland University (1-2), at 3 p.m., before returning home for a weekend triangular Sept. 26th against Buena Vista and UNI Club.
