Storm set eight new top-marks at Kip Janvrin Open

INDIANOLA, Iowa - On the home track for the Kip Janvrin Open, the Simpson women's track and field team capped off the exciting day of action with seven new top-10 marks.

MEET HIGHLIGHTS

• The Storm set three new top-10 marks in the 200m led by Emma Cooper breaking another PR and placing third overall. Chloe Wierson and Jenna Thornburg finished sixth and eighth overall in school history in the event.
• Wierson set another top-10, this time in the 400m, placing eighth overall in school history while Nicole Middents grabbed the 10th spot in school history in the event.
• Olivia Merrill continued to set a new personal record in the shot put, putting up the fifth best mark in school history at 13.25m.
• The 4x100 relay team of Anna Parrott, Wierson, Calli Seehase and Emma Lueck set the eighth fastest time in school history in the event at 49.14.
• Ava Tichy moved up one spot on the school's all-time hammer list, placing fourth with her best mark of 43.08m.
