Storm set school record in 4x100 at Dutch Weather Saver meet

PELLA, Iowa - History was rewritten on Thursday night for the Simpson 4x100 relay, as the quadlet of Jenna Thornburg, Emma Cooper, Molly Moore, and Aubrey McDaniel set the school record by four-hundreds of a second.

MEET HIGHLIGHTS

The highlight of the meet came in the 4x100 relay where Jenna Thornburg, Emma Cooper, Molly Moore, and Aubrey McDaniel rewrote school history, breaking the record by 0.04 of a second at 48.14. The time marks the sixth best time in the event in the midwest region this year.
Simpson set three new top-10 marks in the 100m dash starting with Cooper breaking her own personal record at 12.22 seconds, moving up to sixth in the region. Moore (12.52) and Thornburg (12.62) each set new marks with Moore at seventh and Thornburg at ninth in school history.
Cooper's day was not done as she also placed second in the long jump to teammate Emma Lueck, with her best mark of 5.48m setting the fourth best mark in school history.
Maddy Berg moved up to sixth in school history in the hammer, setting a top mark of 39.86m.
