Simpson women's track and field opens outdoor season in Pella

PELLA, Iowa - After a record setting indoor season, Emma Cooper ran the second fastest time in school history in the 100m at the opening meet of the outdoor season.

MEET HIGHLIGHTS

Competing in the 100m dash, Cooper ran the second fastest time at 12.24 seconds, placing her sixth overall and qualifying for the finals.
Emma Lueck earned an eighth place finish in the long jump, setting the ninth best mark in school history at 5.31m.
Olivia Merrill recorded the highest finish of any Storm with a fifth place finish in the shot put at 12.36m.
Maddax DeVault was the top finisher for Simpson in both hurdles events with a time of 16.24 seconds in the 100m and 1:08.00 in the 400m.
