Simpson women's track and field opens outdoor season in Pella
PELLA, Iowa - After a record setting indoor season, Emma Cooper ran the second fastest time in school history in the 100m at the opening meet of the outdoor season.
MEET HIGHLIGHTS
- Competing in the 100m dash, Cooper ran the second fastest time at 12.24 seconds, placing her sixth overall and qualifying for the finals.
- Emma Lueck earned an eighth place finish in the long jump, setting the ninth best mark in school history at 5.31m.
- Olivia Merrill recorded the highest finish of any Storm with a fifth place finish in the shot put at 12.36m.
- Maddax DeVault was the top finisher for Simpson in both hurdles events with a time of 16.24 seconds in the 100m and 1:08.00 in the 400m.
