Simpson claims four all-conference medals at WIAC Championship
WINONA, Minn. – The Simpson College women's gymnastics team placed sixth and earned four all-conference performances at the WIAC Championships hosted by Winona State.
The Storm finished with a 189.625 team score, the second highest mark of session one and sixth overall. Simpson improved its score from last season's conference championship by nearly two points while moving up two places in the final standings.
Kaelyn Tally led the Storm with two all-conference medals, tying with teammate Brooklen Morgan and five others for second place on floor (9.775) and tying for fourth place on vault (9.750). Joining Morgan and Tally as an all-conference performer was Liz Sisler, who tied for fifth place on bars with a new career high (9.725).
BraeDee Cason led Simpson on beam with a career-best 9.700 to finish inside the top 20. Kaley Bristow also recorded a career high and top-20 finish on floor with a 9.675, while Emma Charles added a personal best on bars (9.350) and Rachel Welch posted a career-high 9.650 on beam.
At the conclusion of the meet, sophomore Kaylee Paige was recognized on the All-WIAC Sportsmanship Team.
This was Simpson's final team competition of the 2026 season. The Storm set new team records on vault (48.275), bars (47.300), and floor (48.625) and surpassed 190 team points on two occasions, including a record-setting 190.625 on Feb. 6. Individually, Evalyn Resnick became the program's record holder on bars (9.800) and beam (9.775), while Tally tied her own record on vault (9.800).
