Tally, Johnson named Simpson Athletes of the Month for March
INDIANOLA, Iowa – Men's track and field sophomore James Johnson and women's gymnastics senior Kaelyn Tally have been selected as the Simpson Athletics Athletes of the Month for March.
Johnson earned All-America honors and posted one of the top mile times in program history, while Tally capped her career with a historic postseason that included All-America recognition and multiple all-conference finishes.

- Became first Simpson gymnast to earn All-America honors at the NCGA Championships
- Tied for a runner-up finish on floor at the WIAC Championships
- Added a second all-conference medal with a fourth place finish on vault
- Voted the NCGA Most Outstanding Senior Gymnast
James Johnson, men's track and field
- Earned Second Team All-America honors in the mile
- Clocked a 4:14.22 at the national meet to place 13th overall
- Posted the second-fastest mile time in program history (4:07.10) at the Wartburg Qualifier
- Named USTFCCCA All-Region in the mile, 3000-meter run, and distance medley relay
