SAINT PETER, Minn. – The Simpson College baseball team bounced back in a big way after a tough 10-0 loss in the season opener, erupting for a 16-5 victory over St. Scholastica to secure its first win of 2025.
Both Ian Baldwin and Drew Carlson had three RBI in the game two victory as Simpson (1-1) pounded out 13 hits. Carlson accounted for a team-high four hits, while Baldwin went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two walks.
Easton Dunwoody secured his first win of the year on the mound, giving up just one run on five hits in four innings of work.
GAME ONE SUMMARY
- St. Scholastica (1-1) came out swinging in the opener, plating six runs on seven hits in the first inning to put the Storm in an early hole.
- The Saints tacked on two unearned runs in the fourth before Adam Braun drove in two more across the fifth and seventh innings to complete the 10-0 shutout.

GAME TWO SUMMARY
