  • Athletic department signs five-year deal with BSN SPORTS, Nike
    July 23, 2018
    The Simpson athletic department has signed a five-year agreement with BSN SPORTS to be the official supplier of athletic apparel and equipment for all 19 varsity sports. Under the partnership, Nike will become the exclusive supplier of the Storm’s uniforms, apparel and accessories.
  • Bob Nutgrass appointed Athletic Director
    June 13, 2018
    Simpson College President Jay Simmons announced Wednesday that Bob Nutgrass, a long-time staff member and current assistant athletic director, will become the college’s next Athletic Director. He replaces Brian Niemuth, who has held the role for the past five years in addition to serving as the head women’s basketball coach.

  • Allen named second team Academic All-American

    Simpson softball player Ashley Allen has been named to the 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-America® Softball Team, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). The junior earned second team honors to become Simpson’s first Academic All-American since 2005.

    Simpson gave starter Emily Bell more than enough cushion in game one but the bats fell silent in game two as the Storm came away with a doubleheader split against Dubuque on Wednesday, winning game one 5-1 before falling 2-0 in the nightcap.
