Simpson wins Storm Spring Classic in all-around team effort
INDIANOLA, Iowa - An all-around team-effort led the Simpson men's golf in a tiebreaker for the title at the Storm Spring Classic on Wednesday.
Perrin one-over par day began with a birdie on five but the highlight came on par-4 15 where he carded an eagle, the best hole on the day for any Storm golfer. Perrin placed third overall in a field of 72 golfers.
Jackson Tennis and Jack Wahman tied for second on the team at 74 with Tennis carding two birdies on the day, while Wahman played par golf on 15 holes. Bradley Kofoed (76) and Avin Legg (77) rounded out the scorecard for the Storm.
As a team, Simpson tied with NC Missouri in strokes at 296 with the tiebreaker being the score of the number five golfer. With Avin Legg's 77, Simpson claimed the trophy outright by four strokes.
