Booth leads trio to all-conference honors at A-R-C Outdoor Championships

INDIANOLA, Iowa - On the conference championship stage, Teghan Booth stole the show, winning the 10,000m race, and taking second in the 5,000m as the Storm claimed multiple all-conference honors at the A-R-C Outdoor Championships.

MEET HIGHLIGHTS

The awards for Booth began on Friday night as the senior claimed the 10,000m crown before following up with a second place finish in the 5,000m race to earn her second all-conference honor. Her victory marked the first conference title by a Storm runner since 2016.
Maddie Hays ran for a season best time in the 400m hurdles, taking second overall, with a time of 1:02.61 minutes to earn all-conference in the event.
Aaliyah Johnson added to her trophy case after placing second in the heptathlon with 4156 points for her all-conference honor. Johnson won the shot put and long jump while taking second in the javelin. Her total points were seventh most in program history.
Olivia Merrill became only the fifth Storm in program history to eclipse the 13-meter mark in the shot put, taking sixth overall in the event.
Sophie Simon and Elian Dzangue moved up to seventh and eighth in program history in the hammer with their respective marks.
