Simpson concludes action at Kip Janvrin Open; competes at Drake Relays

INDIANOLA, Iowa - Simpson played host to the Kip Janvrin Open, honoring the 2025 season class, while also seeing action at the Drake Relays on Thursday and Friday.

MEET HIGHLIGHTS

• Hannah True improved upon her already ninth best mark in school history in the discus with a best mark of 35.38m, moving her only 0.05m behind eighth place.
• Aaliyah Johnson had the highest finish of any Storm athlete, taking second overall in the triple jump.
• Olivia Merrill placed fourth in the shot put with a best mark of 12.67m.
• Maddax DeVault took home seventh overall in the 400m Hurdles, while Chloe Wierson, and DeVault were 10th in the 100m and 100m Hurdles respectively.
• Teghan Booth placed 12th overall in the 10,000m race, the highest finish for any Simpson athlete at the Drake Relays with a time of 36:23.26 minutes.
