Simpson sweeps Westminster behind all-around team effort

FULTON, Mo. - An all-around team effort lifted Simpson to a 7-0 sweep of Westminster on Friday afternoon.

Grace Peck and Ava Ridenour set the tone as the top two individuals for the Storm, winning in straight sets. Natalie Collins nearly blanked her opponent 6-1, 6-0 and Bella Sims earned a win with a 6-3, 6-1 result. Gracie Thompson went to a tiebreaker but outdueled her opponent 10-6 in the deciding frame, while Kayla Truitt closed out the day with a 6-1, 6-1 win.

In the doubles competition, Simpson allowed just three game wins over the three matches, sweeping Westminster.
