Storm Tennis unable to overcome Wartburg
WAVERLY, Iowa - Battling on the road against Wartburg, the Simpson women's tennis team fell 7-0 to the Knights on Friday night to start off a busy weekend of action.
In the first of four matches over three days for the Storm, Simpson was highlighted by strong doubles play from Grace Peck and Savana Walls. The duo went the distance against Wartburg's top pairing before ultimately falling in the tiebreaker.
As an individual, Peck dropped the opening set 6-1 before battling once again with Morgan Kathman in the second set 6-4. Walls and Ava Ridenour combined to win six games in their individual matches with Natalie Collins, Gracie Thompson, and Hannah Roth rounding out the card.
