Kellow places seventh at NCAA Region VI
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Trey Kellow led the Simpson College men's wrestling team with a seventh place finish at the two-day NCAA Region VI.
Kellow dominated his opening match against Aiden Schenck of Schriener 19-1 and added a second win on day one, pinning Nebraska Wesleyan's Seth Littrell in 2:21. He fell to Bryce McDonough of Luther in his first consolation match on Saturday before claiming seventh via a medical forfeit.
Jonathan Valdez picked up a 7-1 win over Nicholas Nguyden (Huntingdon) at 133 pounds, while Nicholas Silva blanked his opponent from Huntingdon 10-0. Noel Torres registered a pin over Jaxon Mikolyzk of Buena Vista in 3:57.
