Storm deliver dominant performance at Buena Vista

STORM LAKE, Iowa – The Simpson College men's wrestling team delivered a dominant performance on the road Saturday, using five bonus-point victories to power past Buena Vista, 31-17.

Despite falling behind 11-0 early, the Storm (1-10, 1-6 A-R-C) rallied back with five consecutive wins to seize a 21-11 lead. Nicholas Silva and Noel Torres battled to hard-fought decisions, while Easton Biladeau notched a major decision, Mazin Arafa recorded a technical fall, and Caden Elliott made quick work of his opponent with a first-period pin.

Buena Vista (1-12, 0-7 A-R-C) momentarily narrowed the gap with a pin at 184 pounds, but Andrew Wolff slammed the door with a clutch fall at 197. Heavyweight Troy Galloway capped the victory in style, rolling to a 13-3 major decision.

Simpson closes out dual action on the road at Central next Thursday. First match is set for 6 p.m.
