Biladeau paces Storm at Cliff Keen-Mike Duroe Invite

MOUNT VERNON, Iowa – Easton Biladeau finished runner-up at 149 pounds to lead the Simpson College men's wrestling team at the Cliff Keen-Mike Duroe Invitational in Mount Vernon.

Biladeau picked up three wins as part of his standout performance, starting with a late pin over Blackburn's Jeramiah Crisp in 6:51. He then defeated Luther's Tristan Day 18-5 before picking up an injury default in the semifinals. In the championship, Biladeau lost by fall against Cole Sarbacker of Augsburg.

Jonathan Valdez won four of his five matches on the day and several other wrestlers marked at least one win during the tournament.

UP NEXT
The team will host four conference opponents next weekend as part of the American Rivers Conference duals. The Storm will compete against Nebraska Wesleyan, Luther, Loras, and Coe beginning at 10:15 a.m.
