Storm fall in 6-1 loss against Neb. Wesleyan
LINCOLN, Neb. – The Storm traveled to Lincoln for a midweek match against conference opponent Nebraska Wesleyan on Wednesday. Simpson fell to their opponent in a 6-1 loss, but picked up a singles victory and competed in some close matches throughout the competition.
In singles competition, Javier Robles Solis defeated his opponents in a thrilling match. The final score of the competition went to extra points and he ended up winning 4-6, 7-6 (7-3), 10-7. Grant Love also played a close match in a 7-5, 6-4 extra points loss. Drake Downard kept his first set close against his opponent with a 6-3, 6-1 loss as well.
In doubles competition, the Javier Robles Solis/Grant Love combination brought the Storm their closest doubles match of the day. The pair fell to their opponents 6-4. Both other doubles pairs lost their matches 6-1 against their competition.
