Simpson men's swim sets five new top-ten marks at A-R-C Championships

DECORAH, Iowa — Over the course of four days, the Simpson swim team set five new top-ten marks in program history at the A-R-C Championships, hosted by Luther.

Colby Briggs earned the highest individual finish of any Storm, placing fifth in the 200 free while also setting the second fastest time in program history at 1:49.31 minutes. Briggs continued to make history in the 200 back, setting the sixth fastest time at 2:06.81 minutes.

Ky Frederick also earned the sixth fastest time in school history in the 100 breaststroke with his time of 1:06.25 minutes.

In the relays, Simpson's 800 free team of Tristan Blair, Frederick, Corbin Thoms, and Briggs finished third fastest in program history at 7:44.40 minutes. The 400 free relay consisting of Briggs, Blair, Thoms, Jared Oosterhuis also finished with a top-ten mark in school history, placing eighth at 3:28.22 minutes.
