Storm take second at Monmouth Invite
MONMOUTH, Ill. - At the second meet of the season, Simpson tied with two others for a second place showing at the Monmouth invite on Saturday.
The Storm finished fourth in five different events including the 200 Medley relay, 200 free, 200 IM, 500 free, and 400 freestyle relay. Colby Briggs accounted for four of the Storm's top finishes on the day, swimming in the opening leg of the 200 Medley relay, taking fourth in the 200 IM, and 500 freestyle, along with the third leg of the 400 freestyle relay.
Simpson tied with Illinois Wesleyan and Monmouth for second overall in the meet with 166 points. Winning the event was Illinois College at 233 points while Ripon and North Central closed out the standings with a fifth and sixth place finish respectively.
