Briggs highlights Storm in final meet of 2025

DECORAH, Iowa — In the final meet of the 2025 year, Simpson finished with six new top-10 times, highlighted by Colby Briggs' 200 IM performance and the 800 free relay's mark on Saturday.

Briggs nearly claimed two school records, first in the 200 IM clocking a time of 2:06.48, and anchoring the Storm's 400 free relay that posted the second fastest time in school history at 7:40.60. Briggs took home the highest place for the Storm, placing 12th in the 200 free.

Brett Snyder and Ky Frederick each posted top-10 times in school history with Snyder earning his in the 100 fly, while Frederick posted ninth in school history in 100 IM. In the 400 free relay, the Storm claimed the eighth fastest time in program history, coming in at 3:28.38.
