Storm collect team and individual championships at BVU Invite, Blake Perrin and Jack Wahman as co-medalists

STORM LAKE, Iowa – The Storm men took home first place victories this weekend in both individual and team competitions at the Buena Vista Invite. Simpson took the team championship this weekend with a score of 613 (302, 311), defeating Loras on a playoff hole.

Juniors Blake Perrin and Jack Wahman were co-medalists for first place this weekend after their outstanding performances. Both men scored a 148 through two rounds of play. Blake Perrin recorded a 73 on day one and a 75 on day two, while Jack Wahman scored a 74 on both days of competition.

Junior Brad Kofoed also finished in the top-ten this weekend, tying for eighth place. His score was a 154, scoring a 76 on day one and a 78 on day two.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• On day one, Blake Perrin had the best finish for the Storm, finishing just one stroke over par with a 73 on the day. Jack Wahman followed close behind on day one, finishing two over par with a 74.
• The Storm wrapped up day one with a score of 302, putting them in third place, behind Loras and NIACC.
• On day two, Jack Wahman put up the best performance of the day, finishing two over par with a 74. Blake Perrin followed closely behind, finishing three over par with a 75.
• The team finished with a score of 311 on day two, having the best round two performance of any team.
• Their total score of 613 tied them with Loras, making both teams have to send out five golfers to compete in a playoff competition on hole 18.
• The Storm came out victorious on the playoff hole, taking the outright victory.
